Which version do I choose?

The great thing about the Lemon Detox Diet program is that there are several different versions that people can perform. Different versions are used to suit different lifestyles and needs. Read below to find out which version suits you best.

The Standard Version – most common
The standard version of the Lemon Detox Diet is 5-7 days.

This is the classic version that has been used by thousands of people throughout the world. The most common and effective versions of the Lemon Detox program are the standard and optimum versions(read next). These versions substitute all solid foods with the Lemon Detox drink. This is the quickest and most effective way to cleanse and rid the body of toxins as you are focusing your inner body’s energy to cleanse and eliminate toxins from your system. Eating solid foods on the program will impede in the overall cleansing process and this why other versions will take you much longer to yield results. Some people, when thinking about detoxing for the first time imagine that they won’t be able to make it through seven days but what most people find is that after the second day it just gets easier and easier. This version is also convenient because a one 1-litre can of the Madal Bal Syrup lasts most people 7 days.

The Optimum Version:
For those more experienced in detoxing.

The ideal duration of the Lemon Detox Diet is 10 days.

Stanley Burroughs recommends doing the diet for 10 days as this will ensure the body is well cleansed. By the time you get to the 7th day you’ll most likely feel so good that going a few extra days will be easy. Going 10-14 days will give you the maximum result by keeping your body in a fasting mode for the fullest length of time but should only be done so with the consent of a healthcare professional.

The Relaxed Version:

The relaxed version allows the body to purify itself at a slower rate, while still taking in some solid food. Try substituting either breakfast or dinner (or even better, both) with 2-3 glasses of the Lemon Detox drink. Have a healthy meal at lunchtime but abstain from eating sweets, processed foods, red meat, fried foods, white bread, refined flour, dairy products, coffee and alcohol. These are all food products that tax our natural digestive/ cleansing system and inhibit the body's ability to deal with previously stored toxins and wastes.

The relaxed program works by lengthening the time each night that the body can cleanse. This offers the body more time to rejuvenate. The relaxed version is for those whose lifestyles cannot incorporate a full detox program, for those who wish to try the Lemon Detox Diet but are unsure if they have the capacity to last 7-10 days without solid food, or those who would like to do a relaxed version in order to prepare themselves and introduce the standard or optimum version.

But this version should be done over an extended period, at least a month, and it should be understood that while the effects of the relaxed version are not as dramatic as the standard or optimum versions, performing the relaxed version for an extended period of time will yield great results

The 50:50 Version

This consists of three days on the Relaxed Version, followed by three days of the full detox program, followed by another three days of the Relaxed Version.

This is the easier way to initiate yourself into the detox if you have never done it before. It also suits some people’s social commitments rather better.

The "Once a Week" Version:

Most of us never give our digestive and eliminative organs a break. Day in and day out we place a continuous load on our system. Taking a break "Once a Week" gives our system a chance to rest and cleanse for a day. Going without solid food for a day isn't too difficult and people who have practiced this program have had good long-term weight-normalization results.

To do this version pick one day out of the week and drink only the Lemon Detox drink on that day. Try this for six weeks or more.

The Master Plan
